Heart healthy at any age

Go Red For Women celebrates the energy, passion and power we have as women to band together to wipe out heart disease and stroke.

Heart disease is not something that affects just men! Coronary heart disease which causes heart attacks, is the leading cause of death for women in America. BUT, we can prevent it by changing our lifestyle and keeping these risk factors under control:

  • Cholesterol
  • Blood Pressure
  • Smoking - don't do it!
  • Physical Activity - DO do it!
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Stress
  • Over use of Alcohol
Educate your friends, family, and co-workers about how they can be active, eat healthy and how simple lifestyle changes can help their heart at the same time! For more tips on prevention and great healthy recipes, click here!

And don't forget to wear red when you go out (or stay in!) tonight-- spread the word and spread the love! Here is what I am sporting to work in support!

My cousin passed on this video and I wanted to share, today especially. It is SUCH an inspiration
and it shows that you can be heart healthy AND fit at any age!

Remember YOU can do anything you want &
are more capable than you think!

Happy Friday!

I got my red on too today! Our company does a lot to promote it since we are in a medical field that deals with the heart. Sadly though, I saw the CEO this morning and guess what? NO RED! hhhmmm........maybe he didn't get the memo. I wonder if it would be appropriate if I checked to see if he wanted me to swing by Target and get him a red tie?
