Fit Sok review

I think a good pair of socks are ones that you can't even tell are there. I have had socks that bunch, that rub or are rough, or the sock itself moves so your shoe rubs, socks that slip and make the running/walking experience not so hot in general. So, I was excited to see that there is a fitness sock company local to me in Minnesota that I could try on for size.

I contacted Jeff at Fitsok and he was kind enough to send me their product to review and to giveaway!!

Fitsok has features that are unique to its brand including airflow channels, right and left food construction and perfect toe fit (no bunching!)

The first pair I tried were the F4's, which have compression and wicking material, precision fit for the right and left foot and back and front tabs to provide additional padding--I loved that feature! Overall they were comfortable, breathable and had a barely there feel, plus they kept their shape nicely when I took them off:

The F4's:

Next up were the Cf2's: Good ole gray!
They are a thermally balanced sock and move moisture and heat from the highest to lowest concentration.

The Cf2's: in white!
They are also antimicrobial, fighting against odor and bacteria so they stay fresher and cleaner!

I love the feel of Fitsok and have been wearing the ones they sent me to try, like there is no tomorrow! They are on the wide side for socks, but don't bunch in shoes even so. I don't mind because I have a bit of a wide foot, but if you are really narrow, you may find them roomy. I tested them both out running and in group fitness at the gym.  They didn't slip, they kept my feet comfortable, cool & cushioned.

If your company or race would like, Fitsok also can customize socks for you with you logo. They do this  for a lot of the races that they sponsor throughout Minneapolis! Such a cool company to have in the hood!  You can contact them here about creating something unique for you!

Wondering where to get Fitsok near you? Check out this map and see if they are available where you live, if not, you can order them online

OR, you can enter below to WIN a package here at Fit this Girl!    Fitsok only comes in packages of three's since they understand how much we fitness lovers go through socks!
I have three packages to give away, so there are three chances to win!

2 packs of the Cf2's and one of the ISW Isowool technical sock (which I didn't test)

* UPDATE: These are women's sizes 7-9
Men's 6-8!! Sorry for the oversight!

Honestly? Running socks never occurred to me. I'm too new, I guess, to the concept of even RUNNING. It's something I've promised myself (I plan to do a 5K in May) but not anything I've felt really comfortable doing anything about. I knew that good shoes were important (I don't have running shoes yet) but it makes sense that good socks would be too.

I'm already a follower... does that get me a second entry? I found you just a few weeks ago I guess, and immediately clicked the follow button.

I have grown to love Under Armour socks. I started wearing those when I found a great pair for cycling - recommended by another hard core cyclist!

My favorite socks for running are made by Zulu. There is only one store in my area that sells them. They're so good, I go out of my way to get them; and haven't really run in anything else in the last 3 years or so!

So far my fave running socks are the Asics dry wick.

Woohoo! I love technical socks - they make me feel like a hard-core runner! My favorites now are some cheap-y Champion technical socks from Target. They wick better than my expensive ones!

I usually just buy plain white socks from Target. I've never tried designated "running" socks, so this would be cool to win!

those socks look great.... I usually go for the cheap ones on sale at marshall's but they rub my instep the wrong way and give me blisters

oooohhh... I love new socks! Enter me 3 times!
*My favorite summer socks are from Nike and are super lightweight, but not cushy enough for running. I recently purchased a pack of Champion socks from Costco and they were perfect brand new, but are wearing pretty fast. I like super soft socks for around the house.
*I follow FitThisGirl on FB
*I will immediately become a FB fan for FitSok's fanpage. Thanks!

Those socks look really cool! I don't really have a favorite running sock as I am not *yet* a runner. I have been thinking that I may give it a try...new running socks would be a great start :)

I am new to the running world and when I went to buy new running shoes a few weeks back, my husband said, "Buy some good running socks too." I did. They are Nike brand. I feel like they don't fit as tightly as I would like and I have to be careful to get them on just right in order to keep them from sliding around. And my regular crew socks end up rubbing on my little toe.....I DEFINITELY want to try these new socks. They really look WAY different and snugger for my narrow foot.

Alexa said...

I LOVE Smart Wool. I've become obsessed with them! They're my favorite brand of sock right now, but I need to find a good new running sock brand (besides cheap Target ones), so this may be my chance!

My favorite so far is Thorlo Experia. Before that I didn't care, but after buying a couple of these on a whim, I'm hooked. And they had lime green, which I wore to match my lime green shirt when I ran the half!

My favorite socks are pretty lame, but I like them ... Under Armour and I've discovered that they can't be too low of a cut, or they slide down and drive me crazy. Maybe these would be the perfect alternative? Thanks for the recommendation!

Karen said...

I really like thorlos right now - cushy on the bottom , thin on top... Already following you :)

congrats on passing you test btw! I have been considering the same career change but am feeling too old as compared to your typical trainer. I need to get over that and do it!

Amanda, another priorfatgirl said...

my fav running socks are lady foot locker brand ... coolmax, i think. they wick away moisture nicely and, unlike many other ankle socks, they don't slip down in the back. i'd love to try fitsok brand, though!
