Recipe: How Sweet it is... baked pears

This has probably been one of the easiest and best desserts I have made in a long time:

Baked Stuffed Pears

Ingredients: 1 pear per pair / couple
4 oz. Plain Goat Cheese
5 large Black Mission Figs chopped
2 Tablespoons Organic Sugar
1Tablespoon of butter

Preheat the Oven to 400 degrees. Cut the pear in half and hallow out the center with a table spoon and slightly up to the stem. Place a half a Tablespoon of butter in each pear half.  In a bowl, mix of the goat cheese and chopped figs then fill each half and sprinkle with Sugar.

Place them in the center of a baking dish  and in the oven for 20 minutes, then under the broiler for 3-4 min until the sugar tops are golden brown. Serve plain or with cream.

In-joy with great company, sweetness and laughter.

Holiday BLOG Gift Exchange!

Can you believe it's December? I can't, I am surprised by time passing so fast this year. I think the exchange is a wonderful idea and signed up to participate--I think it will be a great way to celebrate the season, give to others and connect with new people in the blog world!! Imagine all the posts about bloggers getting gifts from other bloggers--strangers to them till that gift arrives!

I am very excited to take part--go sign up and have fun!!

Do you draw names to exchange gifts in your family or is it a free for all??

I'm so excited for it too! Thanks for signing up and sharing it here. :)

Our more immediate families both draw names. But my dad's extended side of the family does everyone. It ends up being a gift card and money exchange. So ridiculous but my GPa expects us all to do gifts for everyone.
