Food blogger Day 5: Happy Anniversary

Today I have been alcohol free for 2 years.
Happy Anniversary to me!

2009 was a great year! I did SO many unique and fun things:

Met wonderful new people in my life & in the blog world-if your reading this, that means you- THANK YOU!

On to the party!!!
It was nice and low key, there was a lot of great food and fun people!
Adam is always the host with the most!

He made sure to have a bunch of sparkling apple juice on
hand for those not tipping 'em back!
We loved the slogan: "It's time to sparkle" but by the end of the
night thought it should be:
"Get your sparkle on!"

All the food was so good!

I had about two of everything, and a BUNCH of the strawberries dipped in
milk, dark and white chocolate!

The girls! New friends and old friends!

Me in my silver skirt or "tu-tu" as everyone called it. When else could I wear it??

Walking the 8 blocks home at 1 in the morning wasn't that
bad when you do formal Minnesota style!
Silver skirt and white Sorels-- it's POLAR Chic!

TODAY was my first race of 2010!

Pre-race breakfast and food included:

Whole wheat english muffin toasted and with Almond butter, and an Amazing meal from Amazing Grass!

Post race food was thr basic food they pass out : banana & Chips

And a Cascade Farms Fiber Right bar!

I had a Starbucks coffee post haste after the race
and a big salad when I got home. It contained:

mozzarella cheese
shredded chicken
grilled mushrooms
and grilled yellow squash with basil!

I was thinking of all the spices people named in my current giveaway comments and chose basil! I added Drews Rosemary balsamic dressing and it was DELICIOUS! I could have had two!!

I will do an OFFICIAL Race recap in the next few days, but I am excited to say that my time totally surprised me and I am SO happy about it! It may actually be a PR for my 10 K time. I spent a lot of years running races, but not blogging or tracking them.

Here I am warm and happy in the car with my medal. It was well earned today!

Have a wonderful night and New Year!
