Races in 2010

As it has turned out, I have nearly a race every month planned! That is a great way to make my milage goal for the year!

January started already on New Years day with of course, the Polar Dash 10k! It was a super start to the year, and I was very happy with everything, except the cold!

Here is what my tentative schedule looks like:

February: Valentines Day 5K February 13th 2010
March: The St. Patty's day Human Race 8K March 28 2010
April: The Get in Gear half marathon April 24th 2010

May: TBD
June: The Minneapolis Half Marathon June 6th 2010

July: Red White and Boom Half marathon July 4th 2010
August: Hennepin Lake Classic August 1st 2010 Double HEADER 10K and 5K!
St. Paul Triathlon, August 22nd 2010 / Sprint Course - 1/2 Mile Swim • 20K Bike • 5K Run
September: James Page Blubber run, 5k September 18th 2010
October: Monster Dash Half marathon October 30th 2010
November: Giving Thanks 5k November 25th 2010
December: Reindeer Run 5k tbd


I am contemplating running the Twin cities Marathon on Sunday, October 3rd!

I have until the start of February to decide before registration opens.
It's called The most beautiful urban marathon in the United States.

Last year was the first time I even was a spectator and it was beautiful and inspiring to watch. The runners actually run all the way from Downtown Minneapolis to St. Paul and finish at the State Capital, it is amazing!
I finished on the same course hours before the marathoners themselves in 2006 when I ran the Twin Cities 10 mile!

I will keep you posted as to what I decide!

There are a lot of half marathons on my list, 4 to be exact and at least 2 of those can be knocked down to a shorter distance if need be and still be a race day for me. It feels like a lot of running, in all honesty probably the most I will have done in one year. But I am positive and excited and plan on being successful if I do all these or not!
