The Human Doing

There's a man living in a glass apartment at the Mall of America.

They were calling it a glass box, which sent my imagination reeling a little as my mind saw a 10 ft square space with lots of room for TMI moments. Laurianna and I went to take a peek and see what it was all about, because wouldn't you know it...it involves health and fitness!

P.S. How are you guys?? My weekend and week have been busy so far--I love it! I could use a little more coffee and an extra 3 hours in the day, but overall, life is wonderfully full!

Did you know there is an amusement park in the middle of the Mall of America? This HUGE and extravagant mall is quite the source of fame for Minnesota, when really? It's just a mall...I forced La to stand in front of the amusement park for a picture, what a good sport!

The Human Doing! Yes, he is doing what we vote for him to do, he is doing what trainers and fitness instructors are coming in and showing him, he is doing everything in front of us all to prove a point: Just DO!

Here he is, tweeting and Facebooking in his apartment--see the new Octane cross training/elliptical he has in the front? Drooolll... How FUN! We were sending him tweets as he was there.

He has been dancing, lunging, playing games, doing push ups, working with trainers-- doing ALL kinds of things. Chef's have come in and taught him how to prepare healthy meals, he is really going all out with his health and fitness and taking 30 days to renovate his life in front of us!

He is inspiring people to get up and DO, part of a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan to get people active and prevent the onset of obesity and diseases associated with a sedentary lifestyle!

Did you know??

  • 64% of the US population is over weight?
  • The average adult watches 4 hours of television a day (and probably NOT from a treadmill)
  • Sedentary lifestyle is less than 30 minutes of activity three times a week.
  • Sedentary lifestyles or inactivity contribute to heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and some forms of cancer!
  • The older you get the less active you will likely be--so form those GOOD habits NOW!

Laurianna and I stalked him and watched him make lunch.

THEN, we shopped around a bit and went to...of course...
LuluLemon!! I LOVE that store and as it turns out, everything in the store is in my color palate (blog post STILL to come, I am not quite done with the process!) I only have one item from Lululemon, but love the quality...

I came home to my bumper sticker from April at Mommy's Fit for the King!! Yay, thanks April, now all I need is a car to put it on, I LOVE it!!

Faith, love, run!

Do you have loved ones that don't get the amount of activity they need? How can we help engage those around us to move and DO?
