Food burn-out & banishing EXCUSES!!

Confession time:
#1 I haven't been blogging because I haven't felt like Ihave been on my game. Meaning, I have been about 70% on plan with my eating habits. Because of that I haven't felt very good about where I am and experienced a wee bit of lack of inspiration. Why off clean eating plan that much? Food burn out, excuses and time (see excuses).
Food burn out!! I never thought I would be sick of certain foods, certain foods I love!! Certain veggies, fish and chicken--some amaazing tasting staples of a clean diet have me saying "MEH.." Burned out. Sorry buddy.   
Confession #2:
Lack of inspiration in my own diet leaves me little to say on the blog!! Sad, I know. I have been doing some fun experimenting in the kitchen and gaining some new momentum with some different clean eats, but over all, if I am rocking my eating, I feel inspiring. If not, what do I say? BUT that is where we find inspiration in those confessing struggles too! It's not that I feel my struggle is anything more than over coming BOREDOM in the kitchen, but it shows a HUMAN side to bloggers! Help, I hate my kitchen, help, I need inspiration like the rest of you do, like all of us do! 
I have used time (jobs, a little social life, projects) as an excuse for NOT spicing up the eating, spending some time in the kitchen doing something new and for not blogging etc.. I hear excuses everyday as a trainer, they shouldn't be my own!!
Here are some ways to stay ON COURSE for all of us and BANISH excuses:

1)Make it a family affair! Make a family nite of it, make a game of it, put on a few good tunes and rock out! Put on a podcast, sermon or audio book and enjoy!
2) PIN IT! Use pinterest to keep track of recipies, new foods, get new ideas for meals, workouts and time managment. That is one of t he big reasons that I use is, I don't have TIME, when I do, I just misspend the time I have. PIN IT!
3)Schedule it in! Just like a Dr. Appointment, just like work, just like anything else that has a set start time, make that food prep, shopping, workout etc a scheduling priority!
4) Set a timer! Set a timer for that important task! Be it a snack you need, a trip to the store, a work out--WHAT EVER! Put it on your calendar with a timer and stick to it!

I have found myself over the last few months since my wedding, making up a little bit of lost ground, hitting the reset button! I have been continuing to workout and even see some awesome gains in strength. Still in some areas, am making up a little lost ground. But it's never really lost if little by little its under my feet step by step and you too!! I think sometimes we feel like we have "arrived" and can take it easy a little...well sure, those days are called REST DAYS!

I never want to lose ground that I have conquored! I want to ALWAYS press forward and then forward more!! I want to be better, stronger, faster, kinder and closer to God tomorrow than I was today! So my leg days are getting harder, my back days more intense and my presses and bicep curls are never going back to what they were. Always pressing forward, always keeping my eyes on God and eyes on the prize!

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
