About Me

Mary Mack started her own fitness journey nine years ago when she lost 45 pounds. She became a trainer 7 years ago and has a heart for coaching people people through lifestyle change and motivating others to create healthy, sustainable habits in fitness, nutrition and total wellness.

Mary has been a runner, completing 2 full marathons, she skated roller derby with the Minnesota Roller Girl and has competed in 4 bodybuilding shows. Her own weight loss blog and story have been featured in Shape.com, Half size Me pod cast, Girl Hero's. In addition to physically training and coaching others, she uses her gifts to encourage in her writing as well.  She was the Mpls/St. Paul editor of Faith & Fitness Magazine and is currently working on a Faith and Fitness devotional. She loves to garden, cook, camp and dabbles in modeling. She loves hanging out with her husband, son and dog in St. Paul.

The biggest obstacle she faced was herself: “Embracing sobriety, weight loss and clean eating was a walk in the park compared to rebuilding the shattered view of self that landed me at rock bottom in the first place. But I can do all things through Christ who is my strength, apart from that I am just another girl in the gym.”

Here at Fit this, girl! I write about faith, fitness, motivation for YOU, tips on clean eating and other holistic wellness musings that REAL people are interested in as well as my own journey in all it's varied details!
